From Corporate Director to Menopause Advocate: My Personal Journey

A few years ago, I found myself in a place of confusion, exhaustion, and burnout.

I was a successful corporate director, but something was changing in my body and mind—and I didn’t know what it was.

It was perimenopause.

The experience left me feeling lost and isolated. Like so many women, I had no idea how much menopause would affect me, both physically and emotionally.

But instead of being defeated by it, I decided to channel that struggle into something positive.

I became Ireland’s first menopause coach and menopause workplace consultant.

Now, I’m dedicated to helping women understand and navigate this transformative phase of life, so no one has to feel as alone as I did.

Through my work with individuals and workplaces, I’m creating spaces where women feel seen, supported, and empowered.

This isn’t just about breaking taboos—it’s about ensuring every woman knows she’s not alone, whether at home or in the workplace.

If you’re going through this yourself, or if you’re an HR or DEI leader who wants to support women in your workplace, reach out. Together, we can make sure no woman is left behind.

Thanks to Helen O'Callaghan & Irish Examiner for a very open and honest interview.
